How the diff works
The tool compares the two texts line by line using a longest-common-subsequence algorithm, the same idea behind git diff. Lines only in the original are marked as removed, lines only in the changed version as added.

Checking config changes, comparing API responses, reviewing edited copy, or spotting what changed between two code snippets without opening a Git client.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The comparison runs entirely in your browser, so private code and documents stay on your device.
Does it compare words or lines?
Lines. Each changed line shows as one removed line and one added line.
Is there a size limit?
No hard limit, but comparing tens of thousands of lines may be slow because the algorithm is quadratic.
