PDF Editor
Open a PDF and add text, an image or signature, or draw highlight and whiteout boxes. Download the edited file. Private: nothing is uploaded.
Text: click the page to place text, then type. Drag the blue handle to move it.
What this editor can do
Add text (for filling forms or adding notes), add an image such as a signature or logo (PNG or JPG), and draw coloured boxes: use a semi-transparent box to highlight, or a white box to cover something and type over it.
What it can't do
Browser tools can't rewrite the existing text of a PDF the way a word processor can, because PDF text is stored as positioned glyphs. For that you need desktop software. Added text uses a standard font, so some non-Latin scripts are not supported yet.
Your files stay on your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server, so confidential documents stay private. It works offline once the page has loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?
Not directly. You can cover text with a white box and type new text on top, but the original text may remain in the file underneath.
How do I sign a PDF?
Choose 'Image / signature', pick a PNG or JPG of your signature, click where it should go, and adjust the width.
Is it safe for confidential documents?
Yes for privacy: the file never leaves your device. But don't use white boxes to redact secrets, as the covered text may still be extractable.
